It depends on your roof. Size, pitch, height, how many slopes and valleys it has, and how much prep it needs all change the cost. For a rough number, use the instant roof estimate, and for a firm price, book a free roof evaluation.
What changes the number
- Roof size. SoyLei’s application brochure calls for 1 gallon of mixed product per 200 square feet, so a bigger roof takes more product and more time.
- Pitch and height. A steep or two-story roof takes more setup and more care than a low single-story one.
- Shape. Valleys, hips and lots of separate sections take longer than one simple gable.
- Prep. Debris on the roof, plus covering plants, cars and windows. A yard with lots of landscaping near the roofline takes longer to protect.
- Condition. A roof that needs repairs first isn’t ready. Repairs are a roofer’s job and come before any treatment.
- Paperwork. HOA forms take time if your community requires them.
Where the money goes
Product is only part of it. The rest is the work: prep, protecting your property from overspray, careful spraying and cleanup. We’d rather explain each part than post a number that doesn’t fit your house.
Is it worth it for your roof?
That depends on the roof. If the shingles are past the point a treatment can help, no price is a good one, and we’ll tell you so. Some shingle makers, Owens Corning among them, have published bulletins advising against field-applied rejuvenators, so weigh your shingle warranty too.
